Privacy Policy

• No accounts, sign-up, or login.
• No forms that ask for your name, email, or any other personal details.
• No cookies. The Cookie Policy explains the one thing the site saves in your browser.
• No ads, no tracking of clicks or taps, and no selling or sharing of data.
• Your calculator setup is saved only in your own browser.
• Page views are counted anonymously with Vercel Web Analytics.

We don’t collect personal information. There’s no account to create, nothing to sign in to, no newsletter, and no contact or checkout form. Watt48 doesn’t sell anything, so it never handles payment details.

We don’t record what you click, tap, or type, we don’t build profiles of visitors, and the site runs no advertising or third-party tracking scripts.

Your use case, the devices you pick or add (including any names you type), their wattages and run times, and your runtime plan stay on your device. The sizing and the recommendations are worked out in your browser, and your selections are never sent to Watt48’s servers.

So you can pick up where you left off, the calculator saves your setup in your browser’s local storage. The Cookie Policy describes exactly what’s saved and how to remove it.

To learn which pages are useful, Watt48 uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-focused service from our hosting provider. It doesn’t use cookies or store anything in your browser. It counts page views only, each time a page loads or you move to another page on the site, and doesn’t record clicks or anything else you do on a page.

With each page view, it can record:

• the page address and the time of the visit;
• the website that linked you here, if your browser shares it;
• your approximate location (country, region, and city);
• your browser, operating system, and device type (desktop, tablet, or phone).

Instead of a cookie, Vercel tells visits apart using a hash created from the incoming request, and discards it after 24 hours. Page views aren’t tied to an individual or to an IP address, and we see only aggregated totals, such as how many people visited a page. Vercel describes this in its Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Watt48 is hosted on Vercel. As with any website, your browser sends standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address and browser type, and Vercel’s servers use it to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Vercel handles this information under its own Privacy Notice. We don’t use it to identify visitors.

Every page is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

Everything on Watt48 loads from the site itself: fonts, images, and scripts, including the analytics script. Product specifications and photos come from the public GalaxyAX/power-station dataset on GitHub, but our server fetches them, so your browser doesn’t connect to GitHub. There are no ads, social media widgets, or embedded videos.

Recommendations link to each manufacturer’s official site, and the methodology links to the product dataset on GitHub. Those sites run their own cookies and analytics, and their privacy policies apply once you follow a link.

Watt48 isn’t directed at children. It doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Because Watt48 holds no personal information about you, there’s nothing for us to look up, export, correct, or delete. You stay in control of the setup saved in your browser:

• clear your selections with Start over in the calculator header;
• remove the saved setup entirely by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings;
• use a private window, which removes the saved setup when you close it;
• block the analytics script with a content blocker; the calculator works the same without it.

If the way Watt48 handles information changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. The Terms of Use cover the rest of how the site may be used.
